WNY Fungi Fest was created by us — two people who genuinely love being outside and are endlessly curious about the natural world. Our connection to nature has always been more than a hobby; it’s where we reset, learn, and feel most grounded. Over the past year, we found ourselves wanting to gather others in that same spirit — to create a space where learning about fungi, ecology, and the land could feel welcoming, approachable, and community-centered. What started as conversations and shared walks in the woods slowly grew into the vision for this festival: a place where nature, music, education, and connection could all exist together in one intentional weekend.
